Tim Holt, Training Program Facilitator
Mr. Holt’s experience in aviation was gained through his twenty years of service in the United States Navy. As a Naval Aircrewman he has operated on both fixed and rotary wing platforms logging more than 2,000 hours as a Flight Instructor. He served in numerous roles but most notably; Operations Chief at both the Squadron and Wing levels,
Wing Safety Chief and Director of the Helicopter Training School in San Diego, CA. Some of his accomplishments include:
- Recognized for his work as the Curriculum Developer and Project Manager for the Aircrew Coordination Training
(ACT) course.
- As Chairman of the Human Factors Council he ensured that policies and procedures were in place in addition to facilitating as the Lead Instructor for all related courses.
- Developed long-range plans and programs thereby helping reduce aircraft incidents. Produced a proactive approach to safety that took into account overall organizational accident prevention: HAZMAT, Hearing/Sight Conservation,
Crew Resource Management (CRM), Operational Risk Management (ORM), etc.
- Authored Aviation Security Programs that included Emergency Response Procedures Guides, Aviation Internal Self-
Evaluation Checklists and Hurricane Evacuation Plans.
He is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with both a Bachelors Degree in Professional Aeronautics and a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Science (Specializing in Aviation/Aerospace Safety Systems). Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member for ERAU-Worldwide Campus.
